If my enemy's base hit is 100, and they hit me while i have a tower shield (50% resist) and
25 flat resist (not percentage), would i take 25 damage, or 37.5 damage?

100 - 50% = 50 - 25 = 25
or
100 - 25 = 75 - 50% = 37.5

The formula for calculating damage factors resist in this order:
  • Resist gained from Auras
  • Resist granted by Shields
  • Flat resist
  • Your character's Resist stat
So in your case of being hit by a 100-damage spell with a Tower Shield up and 25 Flat Resist, you would first halve the damage through the Tower Shield, then remove 25 for a total of 25 damage. If you had a natural Resist stat of 50% and no Tower Shield, however, you will instead end up taking 37.5 (rounded, ofc) damage from the same attack.

Pierce also goes through Resist in the same order, with the exception of flat Resist. As Piercing is always in percentage form, it simply ignores flat Resist.
