Sure, telling the KingsIsle team about a bug is helpful, but wouldn't it be better to attach a screenshot or even a video to the ticket your sending them so they can more accurately see what's going on? Well, wonder no more, my friends, for there are options at your disposal to help you catch the bug in action.

  • SNAPSHOTS.
You can press the "PrintScreen" button on your keyboard at anytime during the game to take a snapshot. If something looks buggy or broken, it might be a good idea to use this function to capture a picture of the problem, in case it persists. The more information KingsIsle has to work with, the better.
(NOTE: some computers, such as Windows 7 or Vista, come equipped with a program called Snipping Tool, which will allow you to take a snap, or a "Snip", of anything on-screen. This can come in handy in cases where the "PrintScreen" key would otherwise be unusable or not worth using. It might be a good idea to have this on your taskbar 24/7, in case you need to use it.)
  • VIDEOS.
Some video recording software works well with Wizard101. BandiCam is an example of this ( though HyperCam might work too ). Set correctly, it runs smoothly, effortlessly, and can be used to capture moments in-game. It can also be used to capture a bug. If you know how to trigger a bug or an exploit, first start up your recording software, then try to use the big or exploit. Done correctly, you can record an entire video of the bug, what triggered it, and how it worked, which you can then send off to KingsIsle so they can more accurately combat the bug. It's much easier when they know how it's done!

Just make sure that your software is working correctly and is running smoothly, or you may run into playback issues with the video. ALWAYS make sure it playbacks correctly before sending it on it's way to KingsIsle. Broken, heavily blurry, or videos that do not run smoothly/skip portions help nobody! Most people would agree that videos that run in 360p are the perfect format to use for non-HD videos.
