I had the quest and was following the arrow and it disappeared, telling me that he was right in front of me, but no one was there! This is a horrible bug! KI, please help!
He walks a path, the Quest Arrow points to that path. Keep looking on that area and you will find him...a little initiative goes a long way, young Wizard.

Are you talking about the Krokenhamen? Yea that's the point of the QH (quest helper) when you reach the area its pointing, turn left and you will see a Krokenhamen heading toward you. Just wait. Be patient and it will appear. The first time I did this quest i got confused too.
