Silly Trickster, August is for Kids!

The long days of summer are here and now we’re all turning our thoughts towards our remaining weeks of fun before school starts again. We hope you enjoy August 2017 in Wizard101! House-a-palooza is on its way, and we’re very close to our 9th Birthday Celebration. We hope you’re busy earning your daily PvP rewards and getting ready for what’s coming next.

July was a month full of celebration! Whether we were celebrating Christmas in July, July 4th, or the latest update being made to Wizard101, it was a great time to be playing Wizard101. One really notable event was when the trickster played a trick on us and snuck into the game earlier than intended. That trickster has powers we don’t even understand . . . one thing is for sure . . . he’ll be back in a future update.

Read on for more regular articles and fan spotlights! We love the fans of Wizard101 and can’t wait to see what you’ll be creating and sending us next.

A Quest-ionnaire for the New Scholars

It’s time for another “quest” to fill out a QUESTionnaire for one of our Arcanum Scholars. This month we’ve sent our questionnaire off to Ignus Ferric, the Fire Scholar. Fire Students and crafters will both already know Ignus well. Not only does he teach students how to tame the Raging Bull, but also teaches us how to forge a legendary weapon. Let’s see what Ignus has to say for himself!

Name: Ignus Ferric

Favorite Spell: Helephant
Favorite Food: Fried Ice Cream from me native Athanor
Bio?
Oh, gather round and I'll happily tell ye me tale. It all started when I was a wee young lad in Athanor, always tinkering on this and that. Drove me folks crazy, I did. Once tried to build me Dad a mechanical forge hammer, but it came to life, started spouting fire from its eyes and causing all sorts of fuss. Ah, those were fun days. 'Course, they couldn't last; ye can only learn so much by stayin' at home. So I tinkered me a way off of Athanor in search of new recipes, new materials and new people to study with. And what discoveries I have made! And have yet to make! And, by the fires, if I help save the Spiral in the process, so much the better!

Favorite quote?
Don't worry none about explosions when yer craftin'. At least you're getting a reaction.

My friends describe me as . . . ?
Well, I'd hope they'd described me as a festive ol' fellow. Bright and cheery and always willing to dive in to a new project.

How I feel about Magic?
A useful tool, it is. Can it be dangerous? Well, sure. But then so's a hammer in the wrong hands.

Screenshot of the Month!

There were a lot of fantastic screenshots to choose from this month, so it was a very difficult choice. Thank you for remembering to press Control+G before you take your screenshot, so it looks really nice.

This month’s screenshot comes from Wolf Wildweave. He sent us three really great screenshots this month, but this perfectly timed shot during the Dragonfly ride in the Amber Estate House was fantastic!

There’s so much to love about this screenshot . . . from the upward soaring angle, to the contrast of the sky. Great shot, Wolf!

As a reminder, please only send us your best three screenshots every month to community@wizard101.com if you’d like to participate. For more tips, check out this blog post with helpful screen shot hints. Don’t forget to press Control+G before you snap your picture!
