I know this has been discussed to no end but thought I would reopen it. Having the ability to respec training points would be great. This could be done at maybe levels 20 and 40 and when new spells are added. That way it would keep down the abuse of using respec to just "try out" new spells. In my case i started with a mix of classes and found too late that this was a very wrong way to go. Since then I have worked just on one other magic class and could sure use the points a respec would give me. Please KingsIsle, give this one some serious thought. If you provided a respec twice in a characters career and when new spells are added, it would help the player population quite a bit, since really, who would want to restart a character once reaching level 20 or 25? By then you probably have some great goodies and a small house that you wouldn't want to lose.
Young Wizard, we implemented this feature a while back, here are the details.
When young Wizards first start out at Ravenwood School of Magical Arts, they are often excited by the many different spells to spend Training Points on, such as shields and magical spells outside their school of focus. We understand that as Wizards progress, they sometimes wish they could return those spells in exchange for their Training Points back. Well now you can!
After you've reached level 12, Mr Lincoln in Golem Court will allow you to Spend Crowns to buy back all your Training Points and return all of the spells obtained with those Training Points. You can respend your new Training Points as desired.
The price in Crowns is dependent on how many training points you have spent.
